WE WILL GIVE AN ACCOUNT

So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. Romans 14:12
One day we will all stand before our Creator and give an account for what we did with the gifts and knowledge He gave us. In a close second to our gift of salvation and the calling He has placed within each one of us as Christians, I believe that He gave each of us as Americans the greatest country in the world. Our founders formed our nation based on biblical principles and the belief in self-autonomy and self-governance within those principles. It goes back to the most basics of human interaction, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
We have been given the freedom to believe in whatever we want, as long as it doesn’t violate the rights of others. We have been granted the freedom to worship God freely without persecution, yet we see it is slowly slipping away from us. However, with this great gift there comes the responsibility to steward it properly. We need to understand that this liberty we experience and are granted came with a price. Much like the price Christ paid for our liberty and freedom from sin and death (He paid that death for us once and for all), our founders and countless others throughout generations have paid that same price of death to secure these freedoms and resist tyranny at all cost.
This may cost us loved ones and friends who may not share the same views and love of this country as we do. It may cost us jobs, money, and many other things for the sake of standing for what is right, and for the belief that every person has the right afforded to them by their Creator to choose what is right for them as long as it is in line with His guidelines.
I heard a message today on waiting on God, and I believe she hit the nail on the head that we have become a society of the instant to such a degree we cannot look into the future to see how or who it may affect. We truly are living out 2 Timothy 3, “lovers of self…lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God.” We are so encapsulated in what we “need” (or should I say think we need) in the moment that we are willing to give up our rights and freedoms to get it NOW.
Due to the fact that we have become lovers of self we don’t look to how our actions today will affect the generations of tomorrow. This is another precious gift afforded to us by our Father in heaven, our posterity, and it is incumbent on us to preserve and protect them, that they could live lives worthy and free to do what God wants them to do. Ben Franklin said, “Those who would give up liberty to purchase temporary safety, deserve neither.” We need to understand that once we give up our most basic human rights to self-autonomy, it will be almost impossible to get them back without the intervention of a deliverer.
Now is the time to rise up and secure and preserve the liberties of this great nation that God gave us to ensure our children and grandchildren will still have the ability to live free. Now is the time to do what is right and not live for ourselves in the moment, but to look forward and see what our passiveness will produce if we fail to take our stand against tyranny. More importantly, as Christians NOW is the time to stand and believe our God for what He has already promised. He has promised this nation is His. He has promised a covenant right to healing. Now is the time to trust in our Healer and the power and authority He gives us as believers to speak against sickness and disease.
Now you must ask yourself when you stand before your Creator how will you answer for what was given to you. Can you stand before an Almighty and Holy Judge and say I did what you asked me to do? Or will you cower in shame because you knew you should have done more to preserve this great nation? Can you step into the future and look your grandkids and even great-grandkids in the face and say I did everything I could to try to preserve your freedoms that we grew up with in our generation?
We need to remember and we’ve talked about it in the past, that we must remove the mentality of ‘I’m only one person, it won’t make a difference.’ The success of this fight is not up to us, it is up to God. It is just our responsibility to do what we are told. We are soldiers in this battle against evil, and we should just follow the orders of our commander, the Almighty God.
ADVANTAGES AND EVILS OF A REPUBLIC

America was designed to be a representative republic. The U.S. Constitution is clear that power comes from the people. The people elect individuals to represent them in the local, state, and national government. While a republican form of government has great benefits, it also has a downside. The downside comes from people who lack in virtue and in knowledge of the Christian foundation of America and those biblical principles that made America great. They elect leaders who do not embrace those founding principles but hold to opposing worldviews that tear America down and put the country on a course that cannot sustain freedom.
In his textbook published in 1841, “Early American History from Genesis to the Constitution,” Noah Webster wrote: Advantages and evils of a republic. The great benefit of a republican form of government is that the people, being the source of all authority, elected their own rulers, who after a limited time for which they are elected, return to the condition of private citizens. IN this case the rulers and ruled have a common interest. If the representatives of the people enact unjust or oppressive laws, the people have a remedy in the power of electing different men for representatives at a subsequent election; those new representatives may repeal such laws. The evils of this form of government are that ambitious and unprincipled men, in their strife for office, may and often do deceive and mislead the people or corrupt them by offers of money and offices. In this case the government often falls in the hands of wicked and profligate men.
Notice that the people are the source of ALL authority and that those who are elected to public office serve for a limited time and then return to their private lives. Elected officials were not meant to make a career out of serving in elected office where they become immune to the “condition of private citizens” as Webster phrased it; and where they do not have to live under the same laws that they created or look their neighbors in the eye. Elected officials were not meant to make a career as a representative of the people. If those elected pass unjust and oppressive laws, then the people have a responsibility to elect others to replace them during the next election so the bad laws can be repealed.
It is important that the people choose virtuous and principled leaders who will adhere to the Constitution and do as they promise during campaigning, who will not continue to make bad laws or fail to repeal those enacted by the lawmakers they replaced. If an election can be stolen as the one in 2020, then this avenue for the people is corrupted. That is why the people must stand up in their authority to demand forensic audits in each state with the assurance and proof of election integrity. We see the devastating results of a stolen election in America today. We ended up with bad officials. That is why the people must stand up against oppression and unconstitutional edicts.
The evil of a republican form of government is when bad men and women lie about their positions to get elected, who fail to do what they promised during campaigning for office; they are men and women who can be bought once in office or while running for office with promises of money and other benefits; men and women who enact laws that they themselves do not have to live under; they become elitist and out of touch with ordinary Americans. Webster calls such people “ambitious and unprincipled.”
In their ambition, they make promises of benefits to others that are not theirs to give. They spend the money of working Americans with reckless abandon. They take from one to give to another. They violate the principles of the Constitution. They force their will on the people. The result is devastation and suffering. We end up with budding tyranny like we see today. “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked person rules, people groan.” Proverbs 29:2
Because a republican form of government can attract ambitious and unprincipled men and women, Webster says the government falls into the hands of the “wicked and profligate.” This is why the founding fathers spoke often on the importance of virtue. The American government is only for moral people. Only a moral people can self-govern as is required in a Republic.
As Christians, we realize that our founding documents are a covenant with God. He entrusted us with this great endeavor. To enjoy the advantages of this Republic and protect it, it is paramount that we elect moral leaders. And that requires honest elections. In the meantime, the people must resist tyranny at every turn and stand up for truth so that America may be saved from an ominous path. We owe it, if not for ourselves and future generations, then for the founding fathers who gave their all, who pledged “our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.” Declaration of Independence
